My wife and I were married at Secret Cove Beach on the Island of Maui, in April 2008. During our wedding trip we spent the first week on the Island of Maui, and the second week on the Island of Oahu. I would recommend a beach wedding to anyone. It was a truly amazing experience that will never be forgotten.
The first week on Maui was a short one though, with all the wedding stuff to take care of. It definitely seemed like we did not have enough time there. It actually took away from our time on Oahu somewhat, since we found ourselves wishing we were still on Maui. So we decided to go back for our first anniversary.
Over the course of our three trips to Hawaii we spent a total of thirty nights on the island of Maui, seven nights on the island of Oahu, three nights on the Big Island, and took one day trip to the island of Kauai. Maui is definitely our favorite Hawaiian Island though, and we look forward to going back again some day.
The guidebooks Maui Revealed and Big Island Revealed were especially helpful to our adventures. So you will probably notice that we recommend them as much as possible.
Hopefully you enjoy the information and photos we have shared on this blog and on Flickr. We have tried to include directions, links, and lots of details in order to make the blog as helpful as possible.
Thanks for reading, and please feel free to leave any questions or comments you might have.
We have also started a photography business as well now, and look forward to some day having an opportunity to photograph a destination wedding in Hawaii.
Anyhow, I hope you like the travel blog. Feel free to check out our Photography Blog and Facebook Page as well:

I LOVE your Lauhala boxes! I purchased some myself for our wedding at Makena Cove. Do you happen to remember where you got your ribbon for the boxes? I cant seem to find any I like, but love yours!
Thanks,
Heidi
Thanks Heidi, It was wired ribbon from Costco.
Hello! I just wanted to drop a very big THANK YOU for all the information that you have on your blog. My mom and I – who were the planners for our family Hawaiian vacation – stumbled on your blog and found it incredibly helpful. Your pictures are also beautiful. Your “Top 10″ lists were fantastic, especially when there are so many places to see, things to do, places to eat, and locations to snorkel at on the island. The best tips that we got from your blog were to bring warm clothing to watch the sunrise at Haleakala (we are Canadians too, but brought much needed winter gloves and hats and were able to stay outside the entire time) and to try our hand at going all the way around on our Road to Hana day (it was worth it for the photos and to witness the craziness of the road).
Thank you,
Courtney
Thanks Courtney, glad you enjoyed our blog and found it helpful.
